The Monture Standard
The Materials
of Monture
Material before design. Fabric before form. Every silhouette begins not with a sketch, but with a fibre. We work from origin to finishing — refining texture, structure and drape until the fabric feels composed enough to carry our name.
Supima Silk-Finished Cotton
100% Supima Cotton
USA × India
"Cotton elevated to silk."
Supima is an extra-long staple cotton known for strength, durability and refined softness. It provides structure without heaviness and smoothness without shine.
Material Specification
Longer fibres — smoother surface
Greater tensile strength — longevity
Cleaner yarn — refined drape
The Monture Perspective
Traditional cotton jersey can feel flat. We wanted cotton that behaves closer to silk — fluid, elevated, tactile. This is not basic cotton. It is cotton elevated.
Cotton–Tencel–Silk Blend
65% Cotton · 30% Tencel™ · 5% Silk
India × Global
"Blending with intention — not dilution."
Each fibre solves a specific structural requirement. Together they achieve what no single fibre can — structure, movement, and refinement in one surface.
Material Specification
Moisture regulation
Enhanced softness
Subtle luminosity without gloss
The Monture Perspective
Pure cotton can feel dense. Pure Tencel can feel overly fluid. Pure silk lacks structure. By blending, we achieve a composed fabric that feels engineered rather than accidental.
European Linen
100% European Linen
Belgium × Western Europe
"Heritage shaped to belong."
Linen is heritage. But heritage without structure feels careless. We select European-grown linen for its fibre length, tensile strength and how it behaves when tailored.
Material Specification
Natural temperature control
Structural integrity across seasons
Softens over time without losing composure
The Monture Perspective
We do not use linen as a seasonal fabric. We use it as an architectural base. This is not casual linen. This is linen shaped to belong to Monture.
Heritage Cotton–Linen Denim
90% Cotton · 10% European Linen
India × Europe
"Tailoring expressed through denim."
Traditional denim is often built for weight and rigidity. We wanted breathability without losing authority. Linen introduces air flow, texture and seasonal intelligence.
Material Specification
Reduces density without sacrificing structure
Transitional — not seasonal
Character that builds over time
The Monture Perspective
We are not interested in distressed denim. We are interested in disciplined denim. By introducing linen, the fabric gains character, dimension, and the wearer gains comfort.
Bamboo–Hemp Blend
75% Bamboo · 25% European Hemp
India × Europe
"Softness without fragility."
We required softness without fragility. Fluidity without collapse. Bamboo offers smooth drape and breathability. Hemp offers natural strength and longevity.
Material Specification
Controlled softness — structural clarity
Falls naturally — never looks careless
Carries presence without shouting
The Monture Perspective
Pure bamboo can feel overly fluid. Pure hemp can feel rigid. We blend to create controlled softness and structural clarity. The result falls naturally — but never looks careless.
